Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2

Do you smell what the Radiant Team is cooking, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania?!
Day 2 has arrived, and it’s bringing the fire! We’ve got title matches, personal rivalries finally reaching their boiling point, and two huge questions: Will the Scottish Warrior finally fulfill his destiny by defeating Seth Rollins? And is it time to finish the story for the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes? We've waited long enough—let’s dive right into the action!

Day 2 Opening

As tradition demands, we kicked things off with a strong musical performance. This time, WWE brought in two-time Grammy nominees The War and Treaty to perform “God Bless America.” Americans love this kind of patriotic opener, and the Philly crowd definitely showed their appreciation.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 1WrestleMania XL - War and the Treaty make this place very loud and enthusiastic.

Immediately after, the lovely Samantha Irvin introduced Stephanie McMahon, who proudly welcomed us to Night 2 of WrestleMania. This is the first Mania under Triple H’s creative leadership, and Steph made sure to let us know how honored she was to kick things off. A solid, feel-good start to the night.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 2WrestleMania XL - Stephanie is still got it and pays her respect to her husband Triple H.

World Heavyweight Championship Drew McIntyre vs Seth "Freakin" Rollins

No time wasted—we're opening Night 2 with a World Championship match! Can the Scottish Warrior finally become champion again?

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 3WrestleMania XL - One of the most brutal wrestlers on the current roster, the motivated and selfish Drew McIntyre.

Drew made his entrance in epic fashion, surrounded by warriors in traditional gear, with bagpipes blazing and Scottish pride in full force. It was gritty, intense, and honestly, a highlight. You just knew he meant business. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins arrived with his signature spectacle—a bizarre parade of circus performers in flamboyant outfits, playing strange instruments. Classic Rollins. King of cringe but still entertaining.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 4WrestleMania XL - Seth Rollins and his cringe party.

And don’t forget the X-factor sitting on commentary: CM Punk. He’s there to stir the pot—and we’ll see just how much before this match ends.

Given that Rollins got torn apart in yesterday’s match with Roman Reigns, he was coming into this one injured, exhausted, and definitely not at 100%. But that’s the risk he took—the champion’s burden. The match nearly ended in the first ten seconds when Drew blasted Seth with a Claymore out of nowhere! I think that was reference to his buddy Sheamus and his fast victory over Daniel Bryan on WrestleMania 27. Rollins barely kicked out and rolled out of danger. Drew wasn't done—he was hunting the title like a true predator. But Seth still had fight in him, delivering a devastating Pedigree on the outside, followed by a Stomp. Even with a destroyed knee, he kept going. But Drew just kept kicking out.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 5WrestleMania XL - I don't even imagine that Seth could Powerbomb Drew and stop his Claymore.

It was brutal watching Seth endure move after move—his body already wrecked from the day before. Yet he somehow powered through. Rollins landed a massive powerbomb, another Pedigree, and yet another Stomp, but again, McIntyre refused to stay down. Then, in a twist of ego or mind games, Drew tried to end it with CM Punk’s own move—Go to Sleep—but settled instead for another Claymore. Rollins kicked out again! How is this man even alive after two Claymores in under 15 minutes?

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 6WrestleMania XL - Stomp on the table could end this match in Seth favour.

The action spilled outside again. Drew looked to finish things with a table, but Rollins reversed it and hit a Stomp on the table. Surely that was it? Nope. Drew got up, went back in, and hit a third Claymore. Rollins, somehow, kicked out again! Absolutely unreal.

But then... the fouth consecutive Claymore finally did it. McIntyre is champion once again. Was this the best match ever? No. But it was physical, emotional, and told the story of a broken champion refusing to quit. Maybe if Rollins were fully healthy, things would’ve gone differently. Still, the Rollins Era ends, and a new chapter begins.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 7WrestleMania XL - Final Claymore ends long Seth Rollins' era.

But hold on—there’s more. As Drew celebrated, he provoked CM Punk—rubbing the victory in his face. Well, Phil didn’t like that. Punk attacked Drew from behind, throwing punches like he was still in the game. And then... the arena erupted.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 8WrestleMania XL - Punk is fed up with disrespect and show Drew his place.

Judgment Day’s theme hits. Damian Priest is here!

Priest cashes in his Money in the Bank contract and hits a brutal South of Heaven chokeslam on the new champion. 1-2-3! We have a NEW World Heavyweight Champion! Unbelievable. Judgment Day may have lost their tag titles on Night 1, but now they hold two of WWE’s top championships. Rhea Ripley reigns in the women’s division, and Damian Priest just pulled the ultimate heist in the men’s. What a twist.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 9WrestleMania XL - Damian Priest finally cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and became the new Heavyweight Champion.

Meanwhile, Drew now has a big problem named CM Punk, and you can bet he’ll be gunning for revenge real soon.

6-Man Philadelphia Street Fight

One of the most personal and long-brewing battles of the weekend. Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits came into this match ready to prove that they’re a dominant, unstoppable force. On the other side, Karrion Kross finally seems to have found his place in WWE. But make no mistake—if he loses tonight, this could be the end of the line for him. I honestly don’t know how he could bounce back from a loss on the biggest stage in wrestling.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 10WrestleMania XL: Tag tam and hardcore legend Bubba Ray Dudley is your special guest referee tonight.

I was expecting a brutal, no-compromise fight—and that’s exactly what we got. Snoop Dogg joined commentary for the night, and to raise the stakes even further, we had a special guest referee: WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley! If there’s anyone who knows hardcore matches, it’s this guy. I expected fair judgment, but definitely some chaos.

Right from the bell, Final Testament took control, unleashing a vicious kendo stick assault on Lashley. Kross, Akam, and Rezar were like a wave of destruction. Even B-Fab got involved, helping her team prevent an early pinfall. That gave Bobby just enough breathing room to clear house and start dishing out punishment with a steel chair—especially to Kross, who was having a miserable time after that.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 11WrestleMania XL: B-Fab is saving the match preventing humiliating pinfall.

Things only got wilder. The women—B-Fab and Scarlett—started throwing hands too, and they even broke a table mid-brawl! Eventually, Kross nearly pinned Lashley, but he got into a shouting match with Bubba Ray, accusing him of counting too slow. Bad idea. The All Mighty answered with a massive Spear, and just like that, we knew where Bubba's loyalty stood.

This was exactly what a Philadelphia Street Fight should be—brutal, chaotic, filled with weapons, and crowd-pleasing mayhem. After getting smashed through a table, Kross was pinned by Montez Ford, bringing this long-term war to an end.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 12WrestlMania XL: I am a huge fan of Bobby Lashley and really respect his showcases of animal power and brutality.

Was it a match-of-the-night contender? Not really. But it was entertaining and satisfying. Now Lashley and his crew can finally move on to new goals, while Kross... well, he might need a miracle at this point.

LA Knight vs AJ Styles – Battle for Respect

The rising megastar LA Knight had one mission tonight—prove to the WWE Universe that he’s not just hype—he’s the next big thing. But standing in his way was AJ Styles, now with a darker attitude and brand-new theme song. Can’t say I liked the song yet... maybe it'll grow on me.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 13WrestleMania XL: Considering LA Knight as powerhouse he shows us really impressive highfly skills and risky maneuvers.

This match started hot—two heavy-hitters clashing in old-school fashion. AJ didn’t hesitate to go dirty, targeting Knight’s knee early on to slow him down and set up the Calf Crusher. That’s smart strategy from the veteran.

Still, I’ve got to praise LA Knight—his move set has improved massively. He’s quicker, sharper, and pulling off a mix of slams, DDTs, and high-risk offense from the top rope. If he keeps progressing like this, he’ll be champion one day, guaranteed.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 14WrestleMania XL: I think AJ gladly breaks Knight's leg if he could.

Then came the move of the night: Avalanche German Suplex from the top rope! I’ve never seen one like that before, and I was speechless. Somehow, AJ kicked out. Unreal. Styles eventually locked in the Calf Crusher, but Knight managed to escape. However, AJ wasn’t done—he rammed Knight’s knee into the ring post, making the injury even worse.

You know how wrestlers sometimes set up their own downfall? That happened here. LA tried to rip up the ringside padding for a big move, but it backfired, and he was the one who landed hard on the exposed floor.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 15WrestleMania XL: This is the OMG movement of the match, rare and destructive move from LA Knight YEAH!

Even with both men battered and worn out, they kept exchanging heavy shots in the center of the ring. The pace picked up dramatically toward the end—counters, reversals, and desperation finishers flying everywhere. Finally, AJ went for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Knight caught him mid-air and hit a thunderous BFT!

1-2-3! LA Knight gets his biggest win ever at WrestleMania! I don’t think there’s any more doubt—the road to championship gold is wide open for the Megastar now. YEAH!

United States Championship – Triple Threat Match Logan Paul vs Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton

Young megastar Logan Paul definitely knows how to make friends—and even better at making enemies. He desperately wanted a match at WrestleMania, and he got one: defending his U.S. Title against two absolute legends—Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. In a triple threat, the champ has no advantage at all—Logan doesn’t even need to be pinned to lose the title. Tough situation... but he walked into this himself, so now he has to find a way out.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 16WrestleMania XL: Great game - why throw Logan Paul better on commentary table. I think Rady wins in this competition.

I had no doubt that KO and Randy would team up at the beginning just to destroy the internet sensation. But once that alliance breaks down—and you know it will—Logan will have his chance to steal the win. It was also nice to see Sami Zayn backstage hyping up KO before the match. It would've been pretty special if both best friends walked away as champs on the same night.

Kevin and Randy made a pretty sweet joint entrance, driving into the ring together, and then immediately began taking turns punishing Logan. It felt more like a competition on who could hurt the champ more. Logan tried to bait them into turning on each other early, but it didn’t quite work—until it finally did, and that’s when Paul saw his opening.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 17WrestleMania XL: You may hate or love Logan Paul but you must admit that he progressing very fast in wrestling skills.

Say what you want, but Logan’s athleticism is off the charts. He fought back with serious intensity, even gaining the upper hand at times. At one point, Randy nearly won the title with a surprise RKO on Kevin Owens, but KO kicked out!

Of course, Logan reached into his bag of tricks—brass knuckles—and clocked Orton, but somehow Randy kicked out! Then Logan went for the final Lucky Punch, but ate a huge RKO instead! And just when Orton was about to go for the Punt Kick, a man dressed as a giant Prime bottle pulled Logan out of the ring. Classic Logan Paul shenanigans.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 18WrestleMania XL: Let's be honest RKO is one of the most impressive finishing moves in all WWE history.

For his trouble, the Prime bottle took an RKO through the announce table—and yes, those poor tables were getting obliterated all weekend long.

KO had his moment too—Pop-Up Powerbomb on Logan, followed by a Stunner on Orton. Even that wasn’t enough, as Orton somehow kicked out of his second finisher of the night. But with his last reserves of energy, Randy countered another Pop-Up attempt with an RKO! Still, Logan, ever the opportunist, threw Orton out of the ring and Frog Splashed KO to retain the title.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 19WrestleMania XL: And still your USA Champion Logan Paul!

Predictable ending? Maybe. But Logan played it smart. This feud isn’t over, not by a long shot. Orton and KO will be hunting Logan Paul soon enough. Great match—highly recommend watching it yourself.

WWE Women’s Championship Iyo Sky vs Bayley

I always love a good family feud—or a clash between former friends. These matches are deeply personal and almost always emotional. This time, it was Bayley vs Iyo Sky, student vs teacher, founder vs leader of Damage CTRL.

Over a year ago, Bayley brought Iyo and Dakota Kai to the main roster and helped them dominate the women’s division. But paradise didn’t last—Iyo brought in Asuka and Kairi Sane, turning the group into something Bayley never wanted. Dakota betrayed her too, and now, after winning the Royal Rumble, Bayley was finally getting her revenge shot at the title.

Her entrance? Epic. She came out in full Egyptian Queen mode, and the crowd ate it up. Meanwhile, Iyo was under huge pressure, especially after Damage CTRL had a terrible showing on Night 1. This was her last shot to salvage something.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 20WrestleMania XL: I am always love to watch how Japanese wrestlers perform in ring. Unique styles and innovating moves.

The match started slow and tactical—strikes, holds, testing waters. Iyo went after Bayley’s knee, the same one that kept her out for nearly a year. It was smart, cruel, and efficient. Iyo is a technical marvel, controlling the pace with smooth, calculated offense. Bayley countered with size and strength, slamming and crushing Iyo when she could.

Both looked fantastic. Iyo was in control, but Bayley just refused to stay down. She went for her Diving Elbow, but Iyo caught her in a Crossface. That could’ve ended it right there—but Bayley powered out, hit the Bayley-to-Belly, and almost got the three!

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 21WrestleMania XL: I thought that this Crossface probably made Bayley to tap out or lose lights but her will was stronger.

The champ turned it back with a backbreaker and Diving Moonsault, but Bayley still kicked out. Iyo then got creative—Standing Moonsault and a clever counter to the Rose Plant, but still no finish. Bayley finally broke through with a massive clothesline, another Bayley-to-Belly, and then her Diving Elbow. Still not done—she added the Rose Plant for good measure, securing the pin and becoming the new WWE Women’s Champion!

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 22WrestleMania XL: The end for Iyo Sky's title reign starts with Bayley-to-Belly slam.

Wow. What a match. Unreal heart and performance from both women. This was a war of pride, betrayal, and legacy—and Bayley walked away with it all. Welcome to a brand-new era.

WWE Undisputed Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes

The time has come. The time to either finish the story or be lost in history. We’ve waited an entire year for this rematch since WrestleMania 39. The biggest match of the decade — Cody Rhodes challenging the longest-reigning champion of the modern era, Roman Reigns, in a Bloodline Rules Match.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 23WrestleMania XL: Acknowledge the greatest champion of this generation, The Head of the Table, your Tribal Chief Roman Reigns!

You already know where my allegiance lies. I'm a massive fan of Roman Reigns, and my full support was behind our champion. You probably also know how I feel about the American Nightmare, so it won’t be hard to guess my pick for the night. Add in the no disqualification stipulation, with Bloodline Rules in effect — the odds were in Reigns’ favor. Cody needed nothing short of a miracle to break the Empire built by Roman Reigns. I hoped that miracle would never come.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 24WrestleMania XL: Drive-by is unique Roman's move. Impressive and nobody else executing this maneuver in WWE.

And then… that entrance.
Roman Reigns walked through Philadelphia with a live orchestra, a brand-new theme song, and the atmosphere of a god descending into battle. I had zero doubts at that point — our Tribal Chief was ready to walk us into a new era of greatness. Look at him — no one compares. The people know it too, even if they boo. Deep down, they acknowledge him.

As expected, the match opened slow and methodical — classic Reigns style. He soaked in the moment, measured Cody, and asserted his dominance. With no rules tonight, weapons and chaos were guaranteed. The kendo stick was the first weapon introduced, but Cody’s smart strategy came early with a Figure Four Leg Lock to target Roman’s knee.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 25WrestleMania XL: Dirty games by Head of the table in Bloodline rules match. Anything goes!

Soon the brawl spilled into the crowd. The fight got wild fast, and Cody found himself on the receiving end of a beating from the Tribal Chief. Roman didn’t even need help at this stage. He methodically destroyed Cody, talking trash the whole time to remind everyone who sits at the Head of the Table.

Back in the ring, Cody fired up with a huge Disaster Kick, gaining some momentum. The match turned wild when Roman hit Cody with his own move — the Cross Rhodes! That was a low blow in every sense. Then came a powerbomb through the commentary table, followed by a Superman Punch, but still Cody refused to stay down.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 26WrestleMania XL: Jey Uso sacrifices himself to take out Jimmy and save Cody.

In a stunning moment, Cody used a Spear on Roman, but it wasn’t enough. Just when he was setting up more Cross Rhodes, Jimmy Uso ran in and saved his Tribal Chief. But Cody wasn’t alone either. Jey Uso returned to even the odds, laying out his brother and taking the fight away from the ring.

Back in the squared circle, Roman delivered a thunderous Spear, but Cody kicked out again! The crowd was losing it. And then came the déjà vu — Solo Sikoa appeared and delivered a Samoan Spike, just like last year. He even pulled Roman’s body over Cody’s for the pin, but Rhodes STILL kicked out!

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 27WrestleMania XL: Shades of WrestleMania 39 when Solo Sikoa saved his Tribal Chief and ruined Cody's moment.

John Cena’s music hit! The arena erupted. Cena stormed the ring, delivering an Attitude Adjustment to Roman Reigns, and another one to Solo Sikoa through the commentary table!

Then, the final piece of the Bloodline puzzle arrived: The Rock — The Final Boss — appeared and entered the ring. The crowd went nuclear. The Great One stood face-to-face with the GOAT, John Cena, for a brief but explosive exchange — one Rock Bottom to Cena shut that down quickly. The Rock then grabbed his leather belt and went to punish Cody Rhodes. But suddenly…

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 28WrestleMania XL: The Final Boss losing no time and take out the GOAT!

The Shield’s theme music hit. Could it be? Was Dean Ambrose really returning tonight? No — it was Seth Rollins, dressed in full Shield gear, steel chair in hand. Roman charged at him and laid him out, ending the dream return tease. But we weren’t done. The lights went out. The church bell tolled.

The lights came back, and The Undertaker stood behind The Rock. One devastating Chokeslam to the Final Boss later, and the arena was in complete chaos.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 29WrestleMania XL: The Undertaker, Legend among legends taking out The Rock and make this battle fair again.

The ring was left with Roman, Cody, and Seth, a chair, and the leather belt. Roman, filled with rage, grabbed the steel chair and cracked it across Seth’s back — a callback to their Shield history. He turned toward Cody next… but Rhodes countered the Spear with three consecutive Cross Rhodes, and finally covered him.

ONE. TWO. THREE! CODY RHODES HAS FINISHED THE STORY!

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 30WrestleMania XL: Finally after years after betrayal Tribal Chief gives Seth Rollins what he deserves!

Even Samantha Irvin’s voice cracked as she announced it. The longest modern title reign in WWE history is over. The Empire of Roman Reigns fell tonight.

Superstars flooded the stage to congratulate the new champ: Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, LA Knight, Randy Orton, John Cena, Jey Uso — even CM Punk came out to give his respect to the man who eliminated him from the Royal Rumble. It was beautiful that they didn’t forget Seth Rollins, the man who sacrificed everything for this ending — including his own world title.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 31WrestleMania XL: After two tough years Cody Rhodes finally finishes his story.

Cody took the mic. He thanked everyone and called down Triple H, asking him to join in the ring. Because this wasn't just Cody’s era now — this was Paul Levesque’s era too. Could you have imagined, a few years ago, Triple H hugging Cody Rhodes in the middle of a WWE ring after debuting in AEW?

Truly a historical moment. My heart is broken for Roman, but I respect the moment. A new era has begun. Tomorrow night on Raw, we’ll start to understand the consequences. WrestleMania 40 wasn’t just an event — it was a turning point in WWE history.

Final thoughts WrestleMania Night 2

🧨 Seth, Drew, and the Rise of Damian Priest

The opening match hit hard—physically and emotionally. Seth Rollins, once again, lost it all—this time not by injury, not by fluke, but because Cody Rhodes stepped in to finish his story... and Seth’s reign.
Drew McIntyre almost had it. But ego, personal vendettas, and CM Punk proved to be too much. That window of chaos?

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 32WrestleMania XL: In the end of the day The Judgment Day is still on top.

Damian Priest kicked it down. Now Priest becomes only the second man in history to cash in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania—the first being none other than Seth himself. Talk about irony. Judgment Day may have lost tag gold, but now they’ve got two World Titles. That’s a net win if you ask me.

💪 Philadelphia Street Fight – Final Testament Crumbles

What a warzone. Lashley and the Profits didn’t just win—they brought justice. The Final Testament had no choice but to fade under the weight of raw power and teamwork. I’m still not 100% sold on the match finish, but the message was loud and clear: The All Mighty Era has officially arrived. As for Karrion Kross and his crew? That loss stings deep. It could crack their foundation. They’ll need to rebound—and fast—before becoming completely irrelevant

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 33WrestleMania XL: The Pride is standing tall tonight a company with WWE Hall of Fame Bubba Ray and Snoop Dogg.

🎤 LA Knight vs AJ Styles – YEAH!

This one was rich with great spots and tension. But let’s be real: LA Knight had to win. AJ Styles is still great, but he’s starting to look like Shinsuke Nakamura—drifting without real momentum. It’s never fun watching your legends fade… but at the same time, LA Knight is fresh, current, and totally ready for the spotlight. This win? Huge for him. Let’s hope it leads to something major.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 34WrestleMania XL: "And when I ask whos game is it the whole world will answer LA KNIGHT YEAH!"

🐍 Logan Paul Slithers Through Again

Logan vs Randy vs Kevin looked like an uphill battle on paper… But Logan Paul did what Logan Paul does best—he waited, watched, and struck at the perfect moment. He’s not the strongest or the most experienced, but he plays the game like a natural villain. KO and Orton might’ve had a better shot if they weren’t such good friends. Now The Maverick walks away with another sneaky title defense. Who’s gonna stop him?
Honestly, LA Knight might be the perfect answer. Sign me up for that match.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 35WrestleMania XL: When Logan get into WWE I thought he will be a parttimer but he really love this and he taking active participant in this business.

🏆 Bayley vs Iyo Sky – The Raw Model Rises

Bayley finally did it. She beat Iyo Sky, ended her reign, and took down Damage CTRL… at least for now. This was emotional and brutal, and Bayley proved she still belongs at the very top. But this isn’t over—no way. With Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Jade Cargill all circling… those tag titles Asuka and Kairi hold are in serious danger. A war’s coming, and Damage CTRL better be ready.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 36WrestleMania XL: The Era of Bayley starts once again and I hope it lasts long enough.

👑 Cody Rhodes Finishes the Story

This was the match of the night—and maybe the entire year. Cody Rhodes finally beat Roman Reigns. The story is over. But is it really? With The Rock and Solo still in the picture, Cody’s new reign might be hell on earth. Truthfully, I’m torn. Roman’s loss hurts. After years of dominance, it’s strange seeing him dethroned. I miss the Tribal Chief already. But this had to happen. The fans demanded it. Now we enter a new era… even if I personally find Cody as champ kinda boring. Still, respect where it’s due. He earned this moment.

Wrestlemania 2024 Day 2 post image 37WrestleMania XL: Roman's Empire falls and now we are living in Cody's universe. For me dark days are coming and I hope for a bright dawn but that will not happen soon..

WrestleMania 40 Night 2 was spectacular—arguably even better than Night 1. Shocking turns, emotional endings, fresh beginnings. WWE isn’t just moving forward—it’s evolving. Now we wait for Raw and SmackDown… because the next chapter of this wild saga is about to begin. Stay tuned, my friends. A new era has begun!
